Whitby

Whitby is famous for its cod fishing
and is home to the British boat
caught record. Sea fishing at
Whitby takes place mainly from the
west and east pier, but there is
plenty of scar to explore at low
water if you fancy rock fishing
for those cod. Coalfish, whiting
and mackerel are also common
catches while fishing from
Whitby's piers.
